A lil' scare

Well, this week has seemed to go good until this afternoon. I have had no spotting since Friday but today I had a big gush of blood come out in the toilet. So scary! I immediately called the doctor and luckily my doc was the one on call. She called me back after she made a phone call to my specialist and pretty much just told me to continue to keep my feet up. Since they knew I had a placenta lake or bleed then they expected me to pass more blood. If the bleeding gets worse or cramping starts in than I am to call her, otherwise, there is nothing they can do for me. My next appointment is this Friday at 10:30, so, we will take another look then and find out more about my near future! Can't wait!

2 Years Already!

Well, today was our 2 year anniversary and I can't believe it! My how time flies by! We originally had dinner reservations for this past Saturday night at Texas de Brazil but the doctor said no. Bummer! We will just have to reschedule for another time. So this evening, Jarrod grilled me up some Salmon with asparagus and rice on the side. Yum yum, this is one of my favorite meals. Thanks honey! Then we cheered on the cowboys and had a great and relaxing evening at home!

Good & Bad Day

The Bad........Today at work I had a little scare. I was spotting a little bit and didn't know why. I called my doctor on my lunch break since the weekend was coming up and she called me back immediately and wanted me to come over right away to check my cervix. My boss let me go and of course on my way out I had a little meltdown (so thank you Mrs. Sanchez for being me shoulder to lean on). I then called my mom and she quickly met me at the doctors office. I'm so thankful that she only works a few miles away. They then took us straight to the sono room to check things out. Well, my cervix actually looked great. It measured long and was completely shut but on the other hand my placenta was hemorrhaging a little bit in one spot. She called it a placenta lake (pool of blood) and that is where my spotting is coming from. So she ordered me to one week of bed rest to let it heal over. Yuck!!!

The Good.........I will not have to be the next add-on case in the OR this afternoon. Yeah! No surgery for me. Thank you God!

Even Better.........While all of this chaos was going on, Peanut decided to flash us his junk! Yup, doctor is very confident that we have another little boy on our hands! Yeah! The only sad part though is that Jarrod and Harleigh weren't there to hear and see the exciting news. So mom and I went across the street to Boswell Gordon flowers and bought a teddy bear and balloon to bring home and surprise them with. Jarrod has been on cloud nine ever since and Harleigh is as happy as can be. She wanted it to be another brother!

Lunch with Harleigh

Today, I surprised Harleigh up at her school for lunch. She was soooooo embarrassed and asked me why I was here? How sad! She did lighten up after awhile and already wants me to come back on Monday! Only this time, she wants me to bring her some food. There lunch is at 10:30 so bringing her some type of lunch is going to be a challenge. We had fun though and I got to meet a lot of her little classmates!

Encore School of Dance

Harleigh started dance this afternoon and she absolutely loves it. Sharie put Rylee in also, so part of Harleigh's excitement is that she will get to see Rylee every Thursday evening! They are taking tap & ballet and they have practice for one hour once a week. Their recital will be June 11th & 12th, 2010 down at the Will Rogers Coliseum! How fun!

1st Appointment with Specialist (11w5d)

Today, I had my very first appointment with Dr. Tabor. He is an OB/GYN who specializes in Fetal Medicine & Maternal Medicine. I also work with him a lot up at Harris so we aren't strangers at all and that makes everything much nicer. First, his sono tech took a look and Peanut's heart beat was 169bpm. Peanut was jumping all over the place and it's little arms and legs were just a pumping! How cute! She also measured the skin flap on the back of the neck several times. After she was done Dr. Tabor came in and said that all the measurements were good and that the baby's skull was intact and its chest & abdominal cavities looked great! So I guess Peanut passed all of its tests this time. Yeah! I now go back in three weeks and he said if there has been any shortening of my cervix then I will probably be getting a cervical cerclage. Yikes! Lastly, I gave some blood for some testing and I should get those results in a week.

Fishermen

Today four of the guys got up early and went on a guided fishing trip on the Oachita Lake in Arkansas. They all limited out with the biggest fish weighing 16lbs. Way to go boys! After they all got back we all headed to the lake and rented a pontoon boat and spent the day out on the lake. When we got back to the house we grilled steaks and called it a night!

Golf Time

Today after everyone arrived in Mt. Ida we all went golfing at the Country Club. It was so much fun but took us all about five hours to finish. Brooke was my golfing partner and she ended up beating me by three strokes. It was a great time had by all. After golf we headed back to the house and cooked out hamburgers and hotdogs! Me and Brooke
