Last night went way better then the previous but this morning was a little busy for us since we had to have Harleigh to school by 8am and then be at the doctor at 8:25am. Jarrod and I were just laughing at each other trying to get everything ready. We did it though but only as a team. Rhett's appointment went good. He checked out great, does not have jaundice and weighed in at 6 lbs. 15 oz. 20 3/4 in. He has almost lost a full pound but doctor said it is fine and that his weight should start going back up once my milk comes in. We have to come back next week for his newborn screening and then back again at 1 month. So blessed to have a healthy baby boy!

No sleep

Last night was our first night home and it was rough. We had a little routine for us working at the hospital but when we got home everything was off. After being up most of the night, we realized our house was kind of on the cold side for Rhett. So after bundling him up a little and turning our thermostat up a couple degrees...I think we finally got an hour of sleep. Even poor Harleigh was up from 1-3am because Rhett was screaming so loud. So we took a night light out of her room and closed her door all the way so she could finally get some sleep. I even shed a few tears but I think that comes along with the sleepless nights. We also learned to check his diaper first thing if he starts to scream because his urine stings his circumcision. This took us a while to figure out though so hopefully tonight will be a different story and won't be as bad as last night. Keep your fingers crossed!
