Well, this could be a very interesting weekend for us. I had my 35 week check-up today and to my surprise I am 80% effaced and dilated to 3cm. Dr. W doesn't think I will make it through another whole week & even gave me her cell # in case I go into labor this weekend. Yikes.....considering I am throwing Amy's baby shower at my house on Saturday & then my baby shower is taking place on Sunday. So like I said...this could be a very dramatic weekend for us. It just seems like there is never a dull moment around here! Since there is a possibility that I might not make it to this weekend we took some pictures tonight to be on the safe side!

Organic Metal by Richard Baggett
This morning Jarrod & I went down to support his cousins artwork at the East Fork Gallery on TCC's downtown campus. His work is very unique & we were very impressed! There were numerous family members, friends, staff, students & many more onlookers that showed up for this event. We are so happy & excited for Richard and his family. Way to go and we wish you the best!

34 week check-up
Today, I had my 34 week check-up & everything looks good. Instead of gaining weight, I have actually lost 1 pound over the last month because of the diet I'm on & they checked my blood sugar journal & told me I was doing a great job! Yeah for me! She also said that the baby is low & she doesn't think he will be a very big baby. She didn't check me today but will next Thursday. I start going to the doctor weekly from now on. Exciting!

Tub Time!
Tonight, I asked Jarrod if he could wash Harleigh's hair for me so I could quick run to my mom's. Right before I left I heard them giggling in the bathroom & this is what I walked in on. They are so silly & I'm sure Harleigh will want Daddy to wash hair every night from now on. Mommy isn't this fun at all! Ha ha!

Snowfall Record
Feb. 12 -- The Dallas-Fort Worth area set a 24- hour snowfall record and is having its snowiest winter in 32 years, according to the National Weather Service.
As of 4 a.m. local time, Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport recorded 12.5 inches (32 centimeters) of snow breaking the previous mark of 12.1 inches set in January 1964, according to a weather service bulletin. The snow pushed the seasonal tally to 15.7 inches, making this the snowiest since 1977-78, when 17.6 inches fell.

We reached our goal!
We had our 32 week check-up today and it was the fastest appointment I have had this whole entire pregnancy. I didn't even have to change out of my clothes. We first had a sono to see how big Rhett was and all his measurements were right on track. They estimated him at about 4lbs and his heart rate was ranging from 150-160bpm. After that we visited with Dr. Wiley and that was it. No more Fetal Fibronectin tests, no blood work, no checking of the cervix.....it was awesome. It was weird leaving and not having to wonder how the results are going to come back. Instead, we are now just waiting for baby Rhett to greet us. Thank you everyone who have kept us in your prayers through out this long journey. We feel so blessed already to make it to this great milestone and know that there are so many more wonderful blessings ahead.

Expecting a nephew!
Today I went to the doctor with Amy and to our surprise....they did a sono. We weren't expecting this at all since it was her first appointment with this doctor. So off to the sono room we went and at first the baby wouldn't spread its legs. Amy started to feel bad so we sat her up for a minute and when we did that.......there it was! A little wee-wee! What a surprise! Amy was a little in shock since I think she had her heart set on a girl but was grinning from cheek to cheek when we left. All his measurements were right on que and they think he is approx. 4lbs. 5oz. and still due 3/28. After this, she met her doctor and gave some blood for her glucose testing. She will be delivering downtown at Baylor and is so relieved now to finally know the sex of her baby!
