Feb. 12 -- The Dallas-Fort Worth area set a 24- hour snowfall record and is having its snowiest winter in 32 years, according to the National Weather Service.
As of 4 a.m. local time, Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport recorded 12.5 inches (32 centimeters) of snow breaking the previous mark of 12.1 inches set in January 1964, according to a weather service bulletin. The snow pushed the seasonal tally to 15.7 inches, making this the snowiest since 1977-78, when 17.6 inches fell.
